EamA family transporter is an inner membrane protein involved in the transport of one or more of a variety of substrates such as amino acids, drugs, metabolites, and sugar phosphates, among others; similar to the chloramphenicol sensitivity protein RarD, which contains two EamA domains; belongs to the DMT (drug/metabolite transporter) superfamily
