LppM family (lipo)protein
LppM is a putative lipoprotein of Mycobacterium tuberculosis that has been shown to affect both phagocytosis by macrophages and progression of the phagosome into a more acidified compartment. Homologs of LppM, most of them appearing to be lipoproteins, are found broadly in the Actinomycetes.
