DUF2382 domain-containing protein
This entry describes an uncharacterized domain, sometimes found in association with a PRC-barrel domain Pfam:PF05239 which is also found in rRNA processing protein RimM and in a photosynthetic reaction centre complex protein). This domain is found in proteins from Bacillus subtilis, Deinococcus radiodurans, Nostoc sp. PCC 7120, Myxococcus xanthus, and several other species. The function is not known. (from Pfam)
PRC-barrel domain-containing protein
The PRC-barrel is an all beta barrel domain found in photosystem reaction centre subunit H of the purple bacteria and RNA metabolism proteins of the RimM group. PRC-barrels are approximately 80 residues long, and found widely represented in bacteria, archaea and plants. This domain is also present at the carboxyl terminus of the pan-bacterial protein RimM, which is involved in ribosomal maturation and processing of 16S rRNA. A family of small proteins conserved in all known euryarchaea are composed entirely of a single stand-alone copy of the domain [1]. [1]. 12429060. PRC and DUF2382 domain-containing protein
PRC (photosystem reaction center) and DUF2382 domain-containing protein; PRC (photosystem reaction center) and DUF2382 domain-containing protein; PRC-barrel domains are shared by photosynthetic reaction center subunits and proteins of RNA metabolism
YsnF/AvaK domain-containing protein
The YsnF/AvaK domain is often found adjacent to a PRC-barrel domain. Partially characterized members of this family include YsnF (a general stress protein of Bacillus subtilis) and the cyanobacterial protein AvaK, a marker expressed primarily in akinetes (encysted spores).
