FilE, C-terminal domain
This entry represents a domain found C-terminal in FilE protein. FilE is found almost exclusively in Acinetobacter, and is assigned as a putative pilus system protein from local genomic contexts that include several additional putative pilus system proteins. It is predicted to adopt a globular structure similar to galactose-binding domains. (from Pfam)
putative pilus assembly protein FilE
FilE is found almost exclusively in the genus Acinetobacter, and is assigned as a putative pilus system protein from local genomic contexts that include several additional putative pilus system proteins. Note that some members of this protein family have proline-rich repeat regions for which spurious translation in another reading frame can give a false-positive match to Pfam's collagen repeat region HMM, PF01391.
