RTX calcium-binding repeat protein
choice-of-anchor tandem repeat GloVer-containing protein
This model describes a repeat found originally in the genus Gloeobacter and in Verrucomicrobia, and named Gloeo_Verruco for that reason. However, the species distribution is broader, so the name changed to GloVer repeat to make the taxonomic implication less conspicuous and therefore less misleading. Multiple members of the family have C-terminal sorting signals for recognition and processing by either a type IX secretion system (T9SS) or an exosortase, showing that this repeat has the choice-of-anchor character of a number of putative surface domains. This model has been broadened, and lengthened, in a rebuild, and now covers the full 50-residue length of the tandem repeat. Many proteins have either 7 or 14 repeats.
beta strand repeat-containing protein
beta strand repeat-containing protein similar to extracellular S-layer proteins and ice nucleation proteins
