MupA/Atu3671 family FMN-dependent luciferase-like monooxygenase

This HMM describes a subfamily within the bacterial luciferase-like monooxygenase (LLM) family that regularly occurs within large non-ribosomal protein synthases/polyketide synthases, but also as single domain proteins. The LLM family includes members that bind either FMN or F420, but FMN is much more likely in this case because many members are from species that lack F420 biosynthesis capability. An example single domain protein is the monooxygenase MupA (AAK28503.1) of mupirocin biosynthesis in Pseudomonas fluorescens NCIMB 10586. The monooxygenase MupA should be be confused with the mupirocin resistance protein from Staphylococcus aureus given the same gene symbol. Another example is Atu3671, found in a siderophore biosynthesis operon in Agrobacterium tumefaciens.
