MBG domain-containing protein
This domain is found in a variety of bacterial extracellular proteins. This domain is related to the MBG domain (Pfam:PF17883). But it replaces the characteristic YDG motif close the N-terminus with a YGX motif. (from Pfam)
GLUG motif-containing protein
This family is found in the IgA1 (M26) peptidases, which attached to the cell wall peptidoglycan by an amide bond ([1]). IgA1 protease selectively cleaves human IgA1 and is likely to be a pathogenicity factor in some pathogens ([2]). This family is also found in various other contexts, including with Pfam:PF05860. It is named GLUG after the mostly conserved G-L-any-G motif. [1]. 8926055. Characterization of the Streptococcus pneumoniae immunoglobulin A1 protease gene (iga) and its translation product.
