MFS transporter
RbtT/DalT/CsbX family MFS transporter
This subfamily of major facilitator superfamily (MFS) transporters includes the ribitol and D-arabinitol transporters from Klebsiella pneumoniae (RbtT andDalT, respectively), and CsbX (alpha-ketoglutarate permease) and YoaB (uncharacterized) from Bacillus subtilis. Both ribitol and D-arabinitol are polyols (alcohols with multiple OH groups), yielding the name polyol permease that fits well to some but not all members of the family. The TCDB designation is 2.A.1.18.
