SseB family protein
This family consists of several SseB proteins which appear to be found exclusively in Enterobacteria. SseB is known to enhance serine-sensitivity in Escherichia coli [1] and is part of the Salmonella pathogenicity island 2 (SPI-2) translocon [2]. This entry contains the presumed N-terminal domain of SseB. [1]. 7982894. Enhancement of serine-sensitivity by a gene encoding rhodanese-like protein in Escherichia coli. SseB family protein containing an SseB N-terminal domain that resembles the N-terminal region of Escherichia coli SseB, which may be involved in the enhancement of serine-sensitivity
