IucA/IucC family protein is a siderophore biosynthesis protein, such as the aerobactin synthase IucC, which catalyzes the attachment of the second N-acetyl-N-hydroxylysine to the carboxylic group of N-citryl-N-acetyl-N-hydroxylysine to yield aerobactin
