YrhC family protein
The YrhC-like protein family includes the B. subtilis YrhC protein Swiss:O05395 which is functionally uncharacterised. YrhC is on the same operon as the MccA and MccB genes, which are involved in the conversion of methionine to cysteine. Expression of this operon is repressed in the presence of sulphate or cysteine [1]. This family of proteins is found in bacteria. Proteins in this family are approximately 80 amino acids in length.
