fimbrial protein
long polar fimbria major subunit LpfA-O113
LpfA-O113 is the major subunit of a form of long polar fimbria first described in LEE-negative, Shiga toxin-producing enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli (STEC) of serotype O113:H21. It is only 38 percent identical to LpfA of Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Typhimurium str. LT2, but more similar to various other types of LpfA subunit. Partner proteins include the chaperone LpfB-O113, usher LpfC-O113, and minor subunit LpfD-O113.
