MMPL family transporter
Members of this family are putative integral membrane proteins from bacteria. Several of the members are mycobacterial proteins. Many of the proteins contain two copies of this aligned region. The function of these proteins is not known, although it has been suggested that they may be involved in lipid transport [1]. [1]. 10694977. Analysis of the proteome of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in silico. Tekaia F, Gordon SV, Garnier T, Brosch R, Barrell BG, Cole ST;. Tuber Lung Dis 1999;79:329-342. (from Pfam)
efflux RND transporter permease subunit
Members of this family are integral membrane proteins. Some are involved in drug resistance. AcrB cooperates with a membrane fusion protein, AcrA, and an outer membrane channel TolC. The structure shows the AcrB forms a homotrimer [1]. [1]. 12374972. Crystal structure of bacterial multidrug efflux transporter AcrB. Murakami S, Nakashima R, Yamashita E, Yamaguchi A;. Nature 2002;419:587-593. (from Pfam)
efflux RND transporter permease subunit is an efflux membrane protein similar to Cupriavidus metallidurans ZneA, a proton driven, heavy metal efflux pump specific for Zn(II)
CusA/CzcA family heavy metal efflux RND transporter
This model represents a family of H+/heavy metal cation antiporters. This family is one of several subfamilies within the scope of Pfam HMM PF00873.
