class Ib ribonucleoside-diphosphate reductase assembly flavoprotein NrdI
ribonucleotide reductase stimulatory protein
ribonucleotide reductase stimulatory protein NrdI binds a flavin cofactor and forms a complex with the ribonucleoside-diphosphate reductase 2 subunit beta, NrdF, stimulating its activity
Ribonucleotide reductases (RNRs) are enzymes that provide the precursors of DNA synthesis. The three characterized classes of RNRs differ by their metal cofactor and their stable organic radical. NrdI appears to contributed catalytically to preparation the dimanganese(III)-tyrosyl radical cofactor of the class Ib ribonucleoside-diphosphate reductase.
