DcrB-related protein
Member of this family include the lipoprotein DcrB itself (see HMM PRK11615.1), involved in maintaining membrane integrity, plus additional clades that are not lipoproteins and that are quite divergent in sequence from the DcrB of Salmonella and E. coli. The family previously was known as DUF1795.
DcrB family lipoprotein
DcrB family lipoproteins represent the only clade within the larger family of PF08786 (DUF1795) whose members are lipoproteins. DcrB is assigned a role in maintaining cell envelope integrity.
DcrB family protein
DcrB family protein may play a synergistic role together with YciB to maintain integrity of the cell envelope.
