Low molecular weight phosphotyrosine protein phosphatase
low molecular weight protein arginine phosphatase
low molecular weight protein arginine phosphatase is a member of the low molecular weight phosphatase (LMWP) family, sharing a highly conserved active site motif (V/I)CXGNTCRS; it has been shown that the conserved threonine, which is an isoleucine in many LMWPTPs, confers specificity to phosphoarginine over phosphotyrosine; similar to Bacillus subtilis YwlE which catalyzes the specific dephosphorylation of phosphoarginine residues in a large number of proteins
