PduL/EutD family phosphate acyltransferase

This family includes the phosphate propanoyltransferase PduL (EC 2.3.1.222) found in 1,2-propanediol utilization bacterial microcompartments (BMC). It also includes from ethanolamine utilization operons, paralogs to PduL such as Lmo1182 from Listeria monocytogenes and CD1920 from Clostridium difficile, called EutD, unrelated to the microcompartment phosphate acetyltransferase (EC 2.3.1.8) EutD proteins of E. coli and Salmonella, but thought to have equivalent function. Both enzymes transfer an acyl group (propanoyl or acetyl) from coenzyme A to phosphate.
