OmpA family protein
The Pfam entry also includes MotB and related proteins which are not included in the Prosite family. (from Pfam)
peptidoglycan-associated lipoprotein
peptidoglycan-associated lipoprotein is part of the Tol-Pal system, which plays a role in outer membrane invagination during cell division and is important for maintaining outer membrane integrity
peptidoglycan-associated lipoprotein Pal
Members of this protein are Pal (also called OprL), the Peptidoglycan-Associated Lipoprotein of the Tol-Pal system. The system appears to be involved both in the maintenance of outer membrane integrity and in the import of certain organic molecules as nutrients. Members of this family contain a hydrodrophobic lipoprotein signal sequence, a conserved N-terminal cleavage and modification site, a poorly conserved low-complexity region, together comprising about 65 amino acids, and a well-conserved C-terminal domain. The seed alignment for this model includes only the conserved C-terminal domain.
