EscU/YscU/HrcU family type III secretion system export apparatus switch protein
This family includes the following members: FlhB, HrpN, YscU, SpaS, HrcU SsaU and YopU. All of these proteins export peptides using the type III secretion system. The peptides exported are quite diverse. [1]. 9618447. Type III protein secretion systems in bacterial pathogens of animals and plants. Hueck CJ;. Microbiol Mol Biol Rev 1998;62:379-433. flagellar biosynthesis protein FlhB
flagellar biosynthesis protein FlhB may be involved in the export of flagellum proteins; belongs to the EscU/YscU/HrcU family of type III secretion system proteins
type III secretion system export apparatus subunit SctU
This model describes protein SctU (Secretion and Cellular Translocation U), an export apparatus protein of the type III secretion system (T3SS) as found in many pathogenic bacteria. The homolog of SctU in flagellar systems is FlhB (see TIGR00328). Lineage-specific names for SctU in various bacteria include AscU, BscU, EscU, PscU, SpaS, and YscU.
