FlhC family transcriptional regulator

This family consists of several bacterial flagellar transcriptional activator (FlhC) proteins. FlhC combines with FlhD to form a regulatory complex in E. coli, this complex has been shown to be a global regulator involved in many cellular processes as well as a flagellar transcriptional activator [1]. [1]. 11287152. FlhD/FlhC-regulated promoters analyzed by gene array and lacZ gene fusions. Pruss BM, Liu X, Hendrickson W, Matsumura P;. FEMS Microbiol Lett 2001;197:91-97. (from Pfam)

flagellar transcriptional regulator FlhC

flagellar transcriptional regulator FlhC functions in complex with FlhD as a master transcriptional regulator that regulates transcription of several flagellar and non-flagellar operons by binding to their promoter region
