DUF4440 domain-containing protein
This domain is found in uncharacterised proteins from bacteria, archaea and eukaryotes, including NTF2-Like SgcJ protein from Streptomyces carzinostaticus, which plays a role in the biosynthesis of the 9-membered enediyne antitumor antibiotic C-1027. It shows a cone-like alpha+beta barrel structure with a long N-terminal alpha- helix, a curved six-stranded antiparallel beta-sheet and two additional shorter alpha-helices. Its specific function is still unkown [1]. [1]. 27406907. nuclear transport factor 2 family protein
This family contains a large number of proteins that share the SnoaL fold. (from Pfam)
Calcium/calmodulin dependent protein kinase II association domain
This domain is found at the C-terminus of the Calcium/calmodulin dependent protein kinases II (CaMKII). These proteins also have a Ser/Thr protein kinase domain (Pfam:PF00069) at their N-terminus [1]. The function of the CaMKII association domain is the assembly of the single proteins into large (8 to 14 subunits) multimers [2]. [1]. 12603201. Differential functional properties of calmodulin-dependent protein kinase IIgamma variants isolated from smooth muscle. Gangopadhyay SS, Barber AL, Gallant C, Grabarek Z, Smith JL, Morgan KG;.
