Fungal trichothecene efflux pump (TRI12)

This family consists of several fungal specific trichothecene efflux pump proteins. Many of the genes involved in trichothecene toxin biosynthesis in Fusarium sporotrichioides are present within a gene cluster. It has been suggested that TRI12 may play a role in F. sporotrichioides self-protection against trichothecenes [1].
