AAA C-terminal domain
AAA_assoc_2 is found at the C-terminus of a relatively small set of AAA domains in proteins ranging from archaeal to fungi, plants and mammals. (from Pfam)
MgsA AAA+ ATPase C terminal
The MgsA protein possesses DNA-dependent ATPase and ssDNA annealing activities [1]. MgsA contributes to the recovery of stalled replication forks and therefore prevents genomic instability caused by aberrant DNA replication [1]. Additionally, MgsA may play a role in chromosomal segregation [1]. This is consistent with a report that MgsA co-localises with the replisome and affects chromosome segregation [1]. This domain represents the C terminal region of MgsA. [1]. 15743409. Functional overlap between RecA and MgsA (RarA) in the rescue of stalled replication forks in Escherichia coli. AAA family ATPase
This Pfam entry includes some of the AAA proteins not detected by the Pfam:PF00004 model. [1]. 7646486. A 200-amino acid ATPase module in search of a basic function. Confalonieri F, Duguet M;. Holliday junction DNA helicase RuvB P-loop domain
The RuvB protein makes up part of the RuvABC revolvasome which catalyses the resolution of Holliday junctions that arise during genetic recombination and DNA repair. Branch migration is catalysed by the RuvB protein that is targeted to the Holliday junction by the structure specific RuvA protein [1]. This family contains the N-terminal region of the protein. AAA family proteins often perform chaperone-like functions that assist in the assembly, operation, or disassembly of protein complexes [2]. [1]. 7646486.
