HdaA/DnaA family protein
This model was built to identify the lid domain of HdaA, a DnaA homolog that acts in the regulatory inactivation of DnaA. However, in a number of species, this HMM has two qualifying his, a strong one to HdaA, and a much weaker hit to DnaA that just manages to exceed the gathering thresholds.
DnaA ATPase domain-containing protein
This entry represents the ATPAse domain of DnaA and similar proteins. [1]. 12234917. The structure of bacterial DnaA: implications for general mechanisms underlying DNA replication initiation. Erzberger JP, Pirruccello MM, Berger JM;. EMBO J. 2002;21:4763-4773. (from Pfam)
DnaA inactivator Hda
Protein translation of Hda was shown, in PMID: 18977760, to initiate at an unusual CUG (normally Leu) codon in Escherichia coli K-12.
DnaA inactivator Hda mediates the interactions of DNA replication initiator protein DnaA with DNA polymerase subunit beta sliding clamp (dnaN)
DnaA regulatory inactivator Hda
Members of this protein family are Hda (Homologous to DnaA). These proteins are about half the length of DnaA and homologous over length of Hda. In the model species Escherichia coli, the initiation of DNA replication requires DnaA bound to ATP rather than ADP; Hda helps facilitate the conversion of DnaA-ATP to DnaA-ADP.
Controls initiation of DNA replication by inhibiting re-initiation of replication, promotes hydrolysis of DnaA-bound ATP
