Sucrose hydrolase-like, C-terminal domain

This domain is found at the C-terminal end of Sucrose hydrolase from Xanthomonas campestris (SupH, Swiss:Q6UVM5) and similar bacterial sequences. SupH shows a central domain that consists of an eight-stranded alpha/beta barrel (Pfam:PF00128). This beta-stranded domain is located on a side of the barrel fold [1]. alpha-amylase family glycosyl hydrolase

Alpha amylase is classified as family 13 of the glycosyl hydrolases. The structure is an 8 stranded alpha/beta barrel containing the active site, interrupted by a ~70 a.a. calcium-binding domain protruding between beta strand 3 and alpha helix 3, and a carboxyl-terminal Greek key beta-barrel domain.
