putative solute-binding protein

This entry represents the Probable solute-binding protein AdeT1/2 from Acinetobacter baumannii. These proteins are involved in resistance to antibiotics by active efflux [1]. [1]. 21212056. Molecular cloning and functional characterization of two novel membrane fusion proteins in conferring antimicrobial resistance in Acinetobacter baumannii. Srinivasan VB, Rajamohan G, Pancholi P, Marcon M, Gebreyes WA;. J Antimicrob Chemother. 2011;66:499-504. (from Pfam)

putative multidrug efflux protein AdeT1

The paralogs AdeT1 and AdeT2, encoded far apart from each other as described in Acinetobacter baumannii, are called homologs of multidrug efflux transporter periplasmic adaptor subunits (also known as membrane fusion subunits) CmeA, MexA, and AdeA, but the levels of sequence similarity may not be sufficient to prove homology.
