tetratricopeptide repeat protein
BH0479 of Bacillus halodurans is a hypothetical protein which contains a tetratrico peptide repeat (TPR) structural motif. The TPR motif is often involved in mediating protein-protein interactions. This protein is likely to function as a dimer. The first 48 amino acids are not present in the clone construct. This Pfam entry includes tetratricopeptide-like repeats not detected by the Pfam:PF00515, Pfam:PF07719, Pfam:PF07720 and Pfam:PF07221 models. (from Pfam)
This family is found predominantly at the C-terminus of transglutaminase enzyme core regions. (from Pfam)
