cell division protein SepF
SepF accumulates at the cell division site in an FtsZ-dependent manner and is required for proper septum formation [1]. Mutants are viable but the formation of the septum is much slower and occurs with a very abnormal morphology. This family also includes archaeal related proteins of unknown function. [1]. 16420366. SepF, a novel FtsZ-interacting protein required for a late step in cell division. Hamoen LW, Meile JC, de Jong W, Noirot P, Errington J;. Mol Microbiol. 2006;59:989-999. (from Pfam)
