Linezolid and vancomycin effect on whole blood of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) sepsis model: time course
Summary:
Analysis of blood from A/J males injected with S. aureus USA300 then treated intravenously with linezolid (L) or vancomycin (V) for up to 24hr. L and V represent two different classes of antibiotics. Results provide insight into the molecular effects of each antibiotic on the host in MRSA sepsis.
