Design: RNA was converted to DNA and were fragmented to a uniform size of 200-250 bp and then sequencing adapters were added.Ion Torrent specific kits for different steps of sequencing were used. The fragments generated during the library preparation were attached to beads and amplified using emulsion PCR (emPCR). Ion PGM 318 chip was used for sequencing.
