show Abstracthide AbstractBurkholderia cepacia ATCC 17759, isolated from forest soils in Trinidad, accumulated large amounts of polyhydroxyalkanoate co-polymers when grown on xylose, mannose, arabinose, other carbohydrates, and organic acid co-substrates. We report here the 8.72 Mb draft genome sequence of B. cepacia ATCC 17759 which will provide better insight into the utility of this organism in bioconversion.
