SRX5820710: Whole genome sequence of Klebsiella pneumoniae
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina MiSeq) run: 746,958 spots, 357.1M bases, 233.4Mb downloads

Design: The QIAamp DNA minikit (Qiagen, Germany) was used to extract the total genomic DNA. A paired-end library (2 300 bp) was prepared using a Nextera XT DNA sample preparation kit, and whole-genome sequencing (WGS) was carried out on a MiSeq machine (Illumina, USA). The sequenced reads were quality trimmed using clc and de novo assembled using SPAdes version 3.11

Study: Using Whole genome sequencing to identify antibiotic resistance genes and predict antimicrobial resistance phenotypes in MDR Klebsiella pneumon in Sudan
show Abstracthide Abstract
Reliable phenotypic antimicrobial susceptibility testing can be a challenge in clinical settings in Sudan. WGS is a promising approach to enhance current capabilities. To study diversity and resistance determinants and to predict and compare resistance patterns from WGS data of Klebsiella pneumon with phenotypic results from classical microbiological testing at a hospital in Sudan
Sample: Pathogen: clinical or host-associated sample from Klebsiella pneumoniae
