show Abstracthide AbstractThis BioProject is part of a study aimed at the investigations of plant-associated microorganisms from Ukrainian soils contaminated with the heavy metal cadmium, which is a common pollutant due to the intense use of phosphate fertilizers. The goals of the study were to better understand the effect of environmental stress on plant-microbial interactions in polluted soils, as well as exploit the plant microbiome to improve the productivity of food and fodder crops and efficiency of plant-mediated cleanup of contaminated areas.
