Design: Strains were grown for 3 days on agar plates, tissue harvested and DNA extracted with the Masterpure Yeast DNA purification kit from Epicentre. The melanin was removed using the OneStep PCR inhibitor removal kit from Zymo. The DNA was constructed into Illumina sequencing libraries by Novogene.
