show Abstracthide AbstractAssembly and annotation of de novo transcriptome using RNA-seq data consisting of regenerating and non-regenerating intestinal tissues from the sea cucumber Holothuria glaberrima. Assembly will be used for differential gene expression analysis using the mesentery as point of reference against 24 hours and 3 days regenerating intestine. Gene expression data can generate information concerning specific changes at the mesentery of molecular processes that are activated during early-stage regeneration. Relevance in the biomedical field is to obtain insights for treatments in human health conditions related to tissue and organ functional maintenance.
