Aerobic cultured isolates from the zebrafish, Danio rerio, skin mucus microbiota were purified and their genomes were sequenced to form hypotheses on functional roles. The teleost skin mucus microbiota plays a role in host health and wellness, yet to date, the individual members have not been cultured to examine individual contributions.
