Design: DNA fragmentation and library preparation were performed using the NEBNext Ultra II FS DNA library prep kit (New England Biolabs, USA) following the manufacturers instructions. For purification and size selection of DNA library, the KAPA Pure Beads (Roche, USA) were used to target the size range 250- 450bp. DNA library concentrations were quantified with QuantiFlour dsDNA system (Promega, USA). Pair-end sequencing was run using DNBSEQ-G400RS High-Throughput Sequencing Set (App-A FCL PE100) on DNBSEQ-G400RS (MGI, China) with the mean coverage approximately 120X. Each sample was barcoded with dual indexes in the P7 and P5 primer. The samples were demultiplexed and fastq files were generated using ZebraCall v2 framework (DNBSEQ-G400RS).

V. parahaemolyticus strains were isolated from 11 shrimp farms in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam, which were related to Acute Hepatopancreatic Necrosis Disease by PCR detection. This work revealed the characteristics of AHPND-causing strains in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam and suggested possible transmission routes among Vietnam and other shrimp farming countries.
