Study: Irradiation sensitive genes in Stenostomum brevipharyngium
show Abstracthide Abstract
To obtain insight into genes enriched in the dividing cells of catenulid flatworm Stenostomum brevipharyngium we sequenced worms exposed to different doses of irradiation (100Gy, 200Gy, 300Gy) along with the control worms. Comparison of those transcriptomes allows the identification of molecular markers of stem cells in catenulids, a sister group to all remaining flatworms, that can inform the evolution of the adult pluripotent stem cells in platyhelminths.
Sample: worms irradiated thrice with 100Gy dose, 24h post irradiation
