show Abstracthide AbstractWe performed 16S ribosomal RNA sequencing to explore the effects of 1 g/kg Tongfu Xingshen capsule (TFXS-M dose) treatment on hemorrhagic stroke-associated pneumonia-related microbial species by comparing the alterations of gut microbial compositions among the sham-operated control, Klebsiella Pneumoniae (Kp) -induced Gram-negative bacterial pneumonia complicating intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) rat model, and TFXS-M treatment groups. The sequencing data of the sham-operated control and Klebsiella Pneumoniae (Kp) -induced SAP groups have been deposited in the NCBI SRA database under the accession number PRJNA1136706. To further confirm the role of the gut microbiota in the SAP-alleviating effects of TFXS-M, we performed fecal microbial transplantation (FMT) from the sham-operated control, Kp-induced SAP and TFXS-M treatment groups into the Kp-induced SAP recipient rats by oral gavage, respectively (SFMT, KFMT and TFMT). At 7 days after FMT, fecal samples were collected and 16S rRNA sequencing was performed to investigate the gut microbiota profiles of the three receipt groups.
