SRX3333212: Genome sequencing of Escherichia coli ABU 1 isolated from urine of a diabetic patient
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina MiSeq) run: 3.5M spots, 1.6G bases, 1Gb downloads

Design: Nextera XT library preparation
Submitted by: University of Muenster
Study: Comparative genomics of asymptomatic bacteriuria Escherichia coli isolates from diabetic patients
show Abstracthide Abstract
Some Escherichia coli strains can efficiently colonize the human urinary bladder without causing symptoms of a urinary tract infection (asymptomatic bacteriuria, ABU). Comparative genome sequence analysis should help to better understand why these E. coli strains efficiently colonize the bladder, but do not cause overt symptoms of urinary tract infection.
Sample: asymptomatic bacteriuria isolate from a patient suffering from type-2 diabetes
