show Abstracthide AbstractIn this study, we sequenced 16 Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica that were isolated from retail meat samples in the Northern Region of Ghana, where most of the food animals in the country are produced to investigate the type and the number of antimicrobial resistance genes that are present in them. This work will help to identify meat types where particular types of antimicrobial resistance genes are prevalent and of concern, and further investigation need can then be identified.
