AMIN is derived from the N-terminal domain of AmiC, an N-acetylmuramoyl-l-alanine amidase of Escherichia coli which localizes to the septal ring during division and plays a key role in the separation of daughter cells. AMIN is derived from the N-terminal domain of AmiC, an N-acetylmuramoyl-l-alanine amidase of Escherichia coli which localizes to the septal ring during division and plays a key role in the separation of daughter cells.
