CDKs, cyclins and CKIs play key roles in transcription, epigenetic regulation, metabolism, stem cell self-renewal, neuronal functions, and spermatogenesis. TFIIB is a transcription factor that binds the TATA box. Members in this superfamily contain one or two copies of the cyclin box.
