ATPase proteolipid family; This family consists of small proteolipids associated with the plasma membrane H+ ATPase. Two proteolipids (PMP1 and PMP2) are associated with the ATPase and both genes are similarly expressed in the wild-type strain of yeast with no modification of the level of transcription of one PMP gene is detected in a strain deleted of the other. Though both proteolipids show similarity with other small proteolipids associated with other cation -transporting ATPases, their functions remain unclear.
