Bacterial type II secretion system chaperone protein (type_III_yscG) YscG is a molecular chaperone for YscE, where both are part of the type III secretion system that in Yersinia is designated Ysc (Yersinia secretion). The secretion system delivers effector proteins, designated Yops (Yersinia outer proteins), in Yersinia. This entry consists of YscG from Yersinia and functionally equivalent type III secretion proteins in other species: e.g. AscG in Aeromonas and LscG in Photorhabdus luminescens.
