Microassay analysis of the lncRNAs expression profile in human aortic vascular smooth muscle cells(hAoSMCs) treated with PDGF-BB at 24 h.

(Submitter supplied) Atherosclerosis is the most important mechanism of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and has become one of the most serious diseases that threaten human health. Vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) are the main cellular components that constitute the structure of the blood vessel wall. The excessive proliferation and migration are pivotal pathological basis of atherosclerosis, in-stent restenosis, pulmonary hypertension and other vascular proliferative diseases. more...

Dysregulated long non-coding RNAs and genes in calcified aortic valve disease

(Submitter supplied) Calcific aortic valve disease (CAVD) is the most common valvular heart disease in the aging population, ranging from initial aortic valve sclerosis to advanced aortic valve stenosis (AVS), but its underlying mechanism remains poorly understood. The present study aimed to explore the differentially expressed long non-coding RNAs and genes in CAVD.

LncRNA expression in the formation of carotid plaque caused by atherosclerosis

(Submitter supplied) Atherosclerotic plaques belong to the common vascular disease in the aged, which rupture will lead to acute thromboembolic diseases, the major reason for fatal cardiovascular events. Accumulating evidence indicates that lncRNAs exert critical functions in atherosclerosis. To identify novel astherosclerotic plaques-relevant lncRNAs, four specimens of carotid atherosclerotic plaque were collected, and endovascular tissue one centimeter far from the carotid atherosclerotic plaque was taken as a control group, we performed lncRNA microarray analysis using Affymetrix Human OElncRNA

Altered lncRNAs transcriptomic profiles in atherosclerosis-induced ischemic stroke

(Submitter supplied) Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) can not only regulate gene transcription and translation, but also participate in the development of central nervous system diseases as epigenetic modification factors. However, their functional significance in atherosclerosis-induced ischemic stroke (AIIS) is unclear. The study aimed to screen out differentially expressed lncRNAs (delncRNAs), and to elucidate their potential regulatory mechanisms in the pathophysiology of AIIS. more...

Long noncoding RNA and messenger RNA abnormalities in pediatric sepsis

(Submitter supplied) Sepsis represents a complex disease with dysregulated inflammatory response and high mortality rate. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been reported to play regulatory roles in a variety of biological processes. However, studies evaluating the function of lncRNAs in pediatric sepsis are scarce, and current knowledge of the role of lncRNAs in pediatric sepsis is still limited. We explored the expression patterns of both lncRNAs and mRNAs between pediatric sepsis patients and healthy controls based on a comprehensive microarray analysis.

Expression data from HEK293T cells

(Submitter supplied) cGAS-STING expression in HEK293T cells could up regulate a series of genes. Above them, Vpx significantly suppressed the NF-κB activated genes but had only a slight influence on the IRF3-activated genes. Diverse HIV-2 and SIV Vpx proteins showed an ability to inhibit DNA sensing-activated innate immune responses, suggesting an evolutionarily conserved function for Vpx.

Gene expression profile in external auditory canal squamous cell carcinoma

(Submitter supplied) External auditory canal squamous cell carcinoma (EACC) is very rare, only accounting for two thousandth of the head and neck cancer. However, the development mechanism of EACC remains unknown. By using gene expression microarray analysis, we aimed to find differentially expressed genes involved in ESCC development. We identified a wide spectrum of molecular signatures in EACC, including mRNA and lncRNA. more...

Microarray analysis of the lncRNAs expression profile in human apheresis platelets during storage

(Submitter supplied) To investigate the long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) expression profiles in human apheresis platelet during the storage, and predict the potential biological function of lncRNAs in the process of platelet storage lesion. LncRNAs profiles of platelets were tested by Agilent Human lncRNA Array at 2nd, 5th, and 8th day during storage. Seven lncRNAs and four mRNAs were chosen to validate by real-time PCR, the result was consistent with the microarray. more...
