Immortalized suprachiasmatic nucleus cell line across circadian cycles: time course

Analysis of suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) immortalized cell line SCN2.2 at 6 hour intervals over 2 circadian cycles. The master clock responsible for the regulation of circadian rhythms in the body is located in the SCN. Results indicate that SCN2.2 retains intrinsic rhythm-generating properties.

(Submitter supplied) To determine whether immortalized cells derived from the rat SCN (SCN 2.2) retain intrinsic rhythm-generating properties characteristic of the SCN, oscillatory properties of the SCN2.2 transcriptome were analyzed and compared to those found in the rat SCN in vivo using rat U34A Affymetrix GeneChips.
