Cross-platform comparability of microarray data

(Submitter supplied) To facilitate collaborative research efforts between multi-investigator teams using DNA microarrays, we identified sources of error and data variability between laboratories and across microarray platforms and methods to accommodate this variability. RNA expression data were generated in seven laboratories, comparing two standard RNA samples using twelve microarray platforms. (Submitter supplied) The content on this microarray was derived from the National Institute on Aging/National Institute of Health cDNA mouse clone set that includes genes from sequences of stem cells and very early-stage embryo cDNA libraries. Arrays of this design have barcodes that begin with 16011472 or 2511472.
