Atlas of Gene Expression at Microanatomical Resolution of the Submandibular Salivary Gland

(Submitter supplied) The goal of this study was to generate a spatiotemporal atlas of gene expression in the developing salivary gland. This will allow us to identify changes in gene expression that may result in the formation of the different domains of the salivary gland.

Spatial and temporal development of mammalian salivary glands

Analysis of highly localized regions of salivary gland epithelia from 12.5-, 13.5-, 14-, and 15-day-old ICR embryos. Development of mouse submandibular salivary gland begins at E11.5. Results provide insight into molecular mechanisms underlying salivary gland development and differentiation.
