Microarray Analysis of Infective and Noninfective Larvae of Strongyloides stercoralis

(Submitter supplied) BACKGROUND: Differences between noninfective first-stage (L1) and infective third-stage (L3i) larvae of parasitic nematode Strongyloides stercoralisat the molecular level are relatively uncharacterized. DNA microarrays were developed and utilized for this purpose. METHODS AND FINDINGS: Oligonucleotide hybridization probes for the array were designed to bind 3571 putative mRNA transcripts predicted by analysis of 11,335 expressed sequence tags (ESTs) obtained as part of the Nematode EST project. more...

Microarray analysis of expressed genes from R. microplus larvae, adult ovary, adult female gut associated with B bovis.

(Submitter supplied) Babesia bovis exposed tissues: Three tissues were looked at. 1. Adult Female Gut 2. Adult Ovary 3. Larvae. In all there are 24 measurements for feature (EST), and 4 measurements per treatment for each of the 6 treatment groups. The 6 treatment groups are: Gut infected (GI), Gut control (GC), and similarly for Ovary and Larval: OI, OC, LI, LC. There are 12 chips, each with a spot replicate. more...
